120×60 LED panel surface-mount kit: install without a suspended ceiling

The 120×60 LED panel surface-mount kit solves the main installation constraint: the absence of a suspended ceiling. Where recessed installation is impossible (concrete ceilings, low ceilings, rental properties), surface mounting provides a clean, professional, reversible result.

The kit’s RAL 9016 white aluminum frame attaches directly to the ceiling surface. It accommodates and secures the 120×60 cm LED panel, dissipates heat, and conceals the wiring on three sides. No suspended ceiling required. No cutting. Viewed from the front, the visual result is indistinguishable from a recessed installation.

Surface-mounted LED panel: when should you use this type of installation?

  • Concrete or wood ceilings: surface drilling only, 4 fixing points, no structural modifications
  • Rented commercial premises: reversible installation, no damage to the existing ceiling
  • Low ceiling heights: the surface-mount kit adds only 6 cm to the panel’s overall depth
  • Partial renovation: modernize the lighting in one area without modifying the entire suspended ceiling

Compatibility and installation

This LED panel surface-mount kit is designed exclusively for the 120×60 cm format. It is compatible with all SunshinePanel panels in this format: neutral white, warm white, printed sky, and custom printing. For the 60×60 cm format, a dedicated surface-mount kit is available separately.

Material: anodized aluminum. Finish: RAL 9016 lacquered white. Frame thickness: 35 mm. Fixing: 4 ceiling screws. Estimated installation time: 20 to 40 minutes depending on the ceiling type.

Yes, this surface-mounted frame is sized for 120×60 cm panels (Lac et Sommets, Rêve de Plage). It is not suitable for 60×60 panels—for those, a 60×60 mounting kit is available separately in our catalog.
Two people are strongly recommended for handling the large format. One person holds the panel while the other secures the frame. Complete installation takes 30 to 45 minutes per panel.
